Role at TCG?

Recruiting Director

Years at TCG?

Almost two years, in June.

What do you love about being an executive recruiter?

I love the challenge of the hunt – searching through profiles and networking to find the right talent that fits the experience/education profile the clients are looking for.  I enjoy learning about the clients and connecting with some really amazing candidates throughout the search process and telling them about the exciting opportunities that I am working on that can potentially change their lives.

Recruiting is a relationship business.  We talk and work with a lot of individuals, sometimes making short-term connections and sometimes developing long-term relationships.  I have met some wonderful people in this career.  Then there’s the best part, making a perfect match between a client and a candidate.  It’s so thrilling and satisfying being able to place a candidate in their dream job as well as help a client make a key hire for their organization.

What advice do you have for candidates?

Be sure to include any accomplishments in your resume, not just a list of tasks you did in a job. When it comes time for the interview, do your homework and be prepared.  Research the company, understand their history, and be up to date on recent articles in the news.  Also, learn what the client’s hot buttons are for the role and demonstrate how your previous experiences may help them resolve an issue or improve a situation – basically what you can do for the company.  Let your personality shine, be enthusiastic and engaging.  Lastly, don’t forget that you are also interviewing the company – ask questions and get clarification to gain a better understanding of the role/company/culture to make sure it is a good fit for you.

Favorite quarantine activity?

Playing board games with my kids and binge-watching some great shows on Amazon and Netflix.

Favorite TCG Memory?

Our Orlando offsite was a lot of fun – bonding with our amazing team whether we were floating on the lazy river or walking around the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.  I feel fortunate to work with such a talented, supportive, and fun group of people!

Fun Fact

I am a big Bruce Springsteen fan and have seen Springsteen in concert close to 20 times over the years – in multiple cities including Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago, the Meadowlands, Atlanta, and Tampa but one of my favorite concerts was in Limerick, Ireland.
