The Chief Human Resources Officer / Vice President, Human Resources provides strategic leadership on Human Resources in services to the University of Delaware’s officers, faculty, and staff, acting at all times as the steward of employee resources in service to the university’s mission. The CHRO-VP will lead an HR organization that includes Benefits & Compensation, Employee Education and Development, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Employee & Labor Relations, Records Management, and Recruitment, with approximately 40 full-time employees that deliver well-conceived and well-designed services to the university’s employees.

As a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer, the CHRO will lead all aspects of the HR function and partner with the leadership team to hire, develop, reward, and inspire the talent base to execute the company’s strategic imperatives. Today, the HR organization consists of 12 people based in Seattle, while serving our global footprint. Driving organizational effectiveness, the incumbent will take a lead role in consulting with leaders / managers to assist them with all organizational development needs including succession management, process improvement initiatives, executive / management coaching, 360 assessment and feedback, organizational diagnosis & design, employee engagement, and action planning.

Vice President, Human Resources is responsible for directing all the people functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants, the ethical and social consequences of business and society, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. The Vice President of Human Resources will also be responsible for the strategic Human Resource planning to provide the organization with the best talent available. They will also position the organization as the employer of choice by being aware of policies, practices, and trends within the industry.
