Founder & CEO
Tom and Paula Christopher are the founding members of TCG, established in 1998. Initially, Tom’s role was that of an organizational consultant providing the strategy, leadership and direction for creating the widely recognized TCG reputation for best-in-class “Speed, Quality, and Service.” He is currently the company CEO and Managing Director with a personal practice focused primarily at the VP, SVP, and CHRO levels. Tom has successfully completed executive HR searches, with a diverse set of clients, across multiple industry verticals including but not limited to Pepsi, Honeywell, Capital One, BP, Kraft, US Foods, Raytheon, Ingersoll-Rand, Vanderbilt University, Delaware North, CDW, Medco, Citigroup, Johns Hopkins University, Eastman Chemical, Comcast, and many others.
With over 27 years of experience in Human Resources and Executive Search, Tom’s deep understanding of business strategy, organizational structures, talent acquisition/assessment/development, have allowed him to become an invaluable search and business partner to senior executives at a list of most impressive Fortune 500 organizations.
Prior to assuming a full-time leadership role with TCG in 2000, Tom held multiple executive HR leadership roles across diverse organizations and industries. Tom began his career as a member of the GE HR Development Program and was an HR Manager at GE in both unionized and non-unionized facilities within the lighting business. He went on to continue his career at PepsiCo within the Pizza Hut Division and was an HR Director in both corporate and field locations. Tom was then recruited into Triarc Companies (Arby’s, RC Cola and Snapple) as the HR Sr. Director for its headquarters office and then VP for all global field HR teams. Tom then went into the financial services industry as the VP of HR for Citibank’s North American retail business and later became the SVP of MD/LD/OD for supporting roughly 60% of Citibank worldwide. In his last corporate HR executive role just prior to assuming his current position as TCG CEO and Managing Director, Tom was the VP of HR for AutoNation leading the field HR teams in both union and non-union locations.
Tom is an honor graduate, earning both his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cleveland State University. He has been a featured lecturer at Cornell’s school of Industrial and Labor Relations as well as many other Colleges and Universities across the United States. He is the Chairman of the Stetson Business School Advisory Board and has served on numerous Boards for a variety of non-profit organizations. Tom and wife Paula are passionately committed to creating a truly exceptional and unique company experience for their clients, candidates, and beloved TCG teammates. They are very active in their communities and have taken aggressive philanthropic positions with a broad range of charities, schools, and foundations. Tom, Paula, and their two daughters (Emily and Megan) split their time between our offices in Willoughby, Ohio and Sarasota, Florida.

Tom and Paula Christopher are the founding members of The Christopher Group, established in 1998. Paula is currently the Chief Administrative Officer and Managing Partner. Her personal practice is focused primarily at the Director, VP, SVP, and CHRO levels. Having an extensive network in the area, she has been instrumental in developing our Organizational Development specialty practice. Paula has successfully completed executive HR searches for a diverse set of clients across multiple industry verticals including but not limited to Pepsi, Honeywell, USAA, PPG, Kraft, US Foods, Land O’Lakes, Ingersoll-Rand, CDW, Verizon, Petco, Eastman Chemical, Johnson & Johnson, and many others.
With over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Executive Search, Paula has worked with some of our countries top business leaders to deeply understand what they need from their Human Resources teams. She takes a very personal and thorough approach, along with keen assessment skills, to be a true business partner with her clients.
Prior to establishing TCG in 1998, Paula held multiple HR leadership roles across diverse organizations and industries. Starting her career at Progressive Insurance in their Management Development Program, she grew to support both operations and sales as the Human Resources Manager for the Ohio Division. She continued at Apex Supply Company as the Human Resources Manager for corporate and field locations before working as an independent HR Consultant for PepsiCo (Pizza Hut Division), ultimately leading to building TCG from the ground up.
Paula earned a Bachelor of Administration degree in Organizational Communication from Cleveland State University. She has been a guest lecturer at Stetson University and an advisor to many young professionals seeking a career in Human Resources. Paula, alongside her husband Tom, is passionately committed to creating a truly exceptional and unique company experience for their clients, candidates, and beloved TCG teammates. They are very active in their communities and have taken aggressive philanthropic positions with a broad range of charities, schools, and foundations. Managing Director & CMO
Nathaniel joined TCG in January of 2010. He has held a variety of roles with progressive responsibility that have included leading the HR Specialist recruiting team, leading the recruiting enterprise at TCG , and his current role as CMO, Managing Director. His primary focus is in managing/developing client facing relationships with a personal practice pointed primarily at the VP, Sr. Director, Director and Manager levels. Nat has successfully completed executive HR searches with a diverse set of clients across multiple industry verticals including but not limited to Reily Foods, Alcon, Sandoz, Eastman Chemical, Flowserve, Kraft Heinz, Baylor Scott & White Health, SC Johnson, Comcast, Ingersoll Rand, Honeywell, and many others.
With over 27 years of experience in Executive Search, Human Resources and Corporate Advisory Services, Nat has a clear understanding Human Resources, organizational structures, talent acquisition/assessment/development and business strategy that make him an invaluable partner for critical HR search needs in any HR vertical.
Prior to assuming a full-time leadership role with TCG in 2010, Nathaniel launched and sold a successful startup in the specialty logistics industry. In addition, Nathaniel spent over 20 years in the Financial Services Industry, 10 years of which was with Merrill Lynch & Co. in a variety of Corporate Advisory Service roles that included institutional sales and Human Resources benefit program roles. He was a member of the Merrill Lynch Advisory Council and Circle of Excellence.
Nathaniel earned his bachelor’s degree in economics before going on to earn his Executive Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Nathaniel currently heads up the TCG Florida office. He, his partner Jeanie, and their daughter London reside in Sarasota, Florida. They are actively involved in the community and school district for which they reside.
Managing Director & COO
Erin is the COO, Managing Director who leads TCG’s Recruiting Teams. Erin personally handles the most senior-level searches for the firm and provides strategic guidance and oversight for all searches handled by her teams. She specializes in Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, MD/OD, and senior level Generalist searches.
Erin has filled CHRO and Senior VP roles as well as many VP, Senior Director, Director, and Manager level positions. She has been requested to fill roles by a variety of Global Fortune-500 clients including BP, Verizon, Comcast, Johnson & Johnson, Johnson Controls, US Foods, Kraft, Mondelez, Raytheon, Rockwell, Johns Hopkins University, Vanderbilt University, and others.
Prior to joining the TCG team in 2011, Erin spent several years as a Senior Staffing Consultant with Adecco. In her role with Adecco, Erin was called upon to fill a variety of roles for their most critical clients including Google, Verizon, Phillips, National City, Rockwell, and others.
Erin is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Labor Relations: Human Resources. She currently resides in Mentor, OH with her husband Michael and their son James.
Managing Partner & Vice President of Operations
Jacob is the Vice President of Operations and Managing Partner at The Christopher Group mentoring a team of recruiters and working on senior level executive searches for the firm. In this position, Jacob has filled numerous CHRO/CPO and VP roles for clients such as KraftHeinz, PPG, Edward Jones, Delaware North, Comcast, Penn State University and Quad Graphics. Additionally, Jacob also leads searches from a partner, client relations side with clients such as Welch’s, Parker Hannifin, and Materion.
Prior to joining TCG, Jacob worked for MurTech Consulting as a Technical Recruiter, partnering with large clients such as Parker Hannifin, Vitamix, Diebold, and Key Bank. Jacob also has experience as an Account Executive, working on marketing and advertising for Yelp Inc. in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Jacob is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing. He currently resides in North Royalton, OH with his wife, Stephanie and their son, Noah.
