TCG Launches a Chief Human Resources Officer Executive Search

As a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer, the CHRO will lead all aspects of the HR function and partner with the leadership team to hire, develop, reward, and inspire the talent base to execute the company’s strategic imperatives.  Today, the HR organization consists of 12 people based in Seattle, while serving our global footprint.  Driving organizational effectiveness, the incumbent will take a lead role in consulting with leaders/managers to assist them with all organizational development needs including succession management, process improvement initiatives, executive/management coaching, 360 assessment and feedback, organizational diagnosis & design, employee engagement and action planning.

This role will reside in the Seattle, WA area.  The search is being led by Thomas Christopher, TCG President / Managing Partner and Jacob Humbert, TCG Recruiting Director.

About American Seafoods

American Seafoods is an industry-leading harvester, processor, distributor and marketer of a diverse array of seafood products from sustainably managed fisheries in U.S. waters off Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Their products include Alaska Pollock, Yellowfin sole, Pacific cod, and Pacific hake, and are used for human nutrition, animal nutrition and dietary supplements. Fish are harvested and processed at-sea aboard the company’s six state-of-the-art catcher processor vessels.  They are unloaded and stored in the company’s own high volume cold storage facility in Dutch Harbor, and then marketed and distributed to U.S. and international customers. They have offices in Europe and Asia, as well as their two US offices in Seattle and Dutch Harbor, Alaska.   Their revenues are over $400MM, approximately split into thirds in NA, Europe and Asia. They are profitable, reinvest at industry leading levels into our boats, and we actively participate in the cooperatives who share responsibility for our fisheries in the US, as well as those international bodies who seek to improve outcomes and responsibility in the fishing industry, including the Groundfish Forum, Marine Stewardship Council, Global Seafood Sustainability Institute, etc.
