TCG Places Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Adapt Community Network

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK – Adapt Community Network, the leading not-for-profit agency and a pioneer in providing programs and services that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, has placed Louie Shapiro as their new Senior Vice President of HR. Managing Partner, Pam Noble and Recruiting Director, Carrie Longmire led and placed the crucial HR search.

As the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Louie will be responsible for leading all HR functions within Adapt Community Network. He will be a strategic business partner that leads the planning for and directs the organization’s Human Resources Management, including acquiring and managing talent, driving benefit practices, overseeing labor and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance, overseeing the organization’s training, development, and leadership programs, creating a work culture of inclusion and employee engagement, and working with Executive leadership team and program directors to develop people management strategies for the agency. Louie will be responsible for creating and fostering an HR function that advances the overall mission of Adapt Community Network. In addition to leading the HR staff, he will provide thought leadership and forward-thinking practices to serve as an active member of the organization’s executive leadership team.

Louie brings over 20 years of leadership experience across operations and human resources in luxury hotels, restaurants, commercial real estate, and co-working environments, with a career that spans major U.S. markets including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and both Northern and Southern California. With a deep appreciation for people and connection, HR has become a natural and fulfilling path for him—one fueled by a passion for the stories, ideas, and aspirations that shape individuals and organizations. Louie has shared his expertise as a Guest Lecturer at Loyola University Chicago, NYU, SFSU, and USF, and as an Adjunct Instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. He is deeply committed to workforce development, having served on advisory boards for SFUSD’s Academy of Hospitality and SFSU’s Hospitality & Tourism Management program, and currently contributes to the Business Relations Council for the Job Corps and the Program Advisory Committee for the Institute of Culinary Education. Louie holds a BBA in Human Resource Management with a minor in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago, as well as a SHRM Human Resources Professional Certificate from Baruch College.
