The Vice President of Human Resources (HR), reporting to the CEO, is responsible for providing overall strategic HR leadership and internal communications for the enterprise. This position will oversee strategy and delivery in all areas of human resources, including but not limited to talent management, learning (training and development), workforce planning, employee benefits and compensation, etc. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) the VP, HR has a shared responsibility to shape, communicate, and implement the company’s Enterprise Strategy across Step2, including championing efforts that support the company’s vision, mission, and values.
Step2 began operations in 1991 with five employees and has grown to its present 800+ full-time employees. The concept of Step2 Direct began in 1999 as an online website for the fulfillment of daycare orders. Step2.com has since evolved into a direct to consumer ecommerce website, servicing the 48 contiguous US states and DC.
Step2 fosters learning and development through creative play in children from toddler to school age years. The Step2 Holding Company, LLC is located in Streetsboro, Ohio and includes The Step2 Company, LLC (“Step2”), and Step2 Direct (“Step2.com”).
