BERKELEY, CA – Bayer, a leading developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical drugs, has selected the Christopher Group to lead their Human Resources Business Partner and Manager of Employee & Labor Relations search. Managing Partner, Ayla Maloney, and Recruiting Director, Carrie Longmire are leading the critical HR searches.

The Human Resources Business Partner will work in partnership with the site HR lead, Manager of Employee and Labor Relations, and site leadership to provide advice and facilitate the implementation and compliance of policies, procedures, and guidelines. You will provide support and interpretation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to management in connection with bargaining unit employees and representatives on policies and practices as it relates to the full range of employee relations issues. The Manager of Employee & Labor Relations will be the face of labor within the Berkley site as well as across the Bayer enterprise. This is a high-touch, high-visibility role that is a critical partner to the site leadership team, the HR team, the bargaining unit and also utilized as an SME for labor and ER-related matters on an enterprise scale. This person has the opportunity to define the future of the Berkeley CBA, (the only one in the company), create significant and impactful relationships with the union and business leaders, and truly operating as the educator and counselor up, down and across the organization.
