As the Director of Learning and Development, Amy will be building a comprehensive learning and development function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Vice President of HR, her role is pivotal in designing and executing an organizational learning strategy aligned with business objectives. This includes assessing training needs, developing programs, managing a new Learning Management System (LMS), and fostering a culture of growth and development across the organization.
Amy D. Sefcik is an accomplished Learning and Development leader with a strong track record of driving employee satisfaction, optimizing budgets, and integrating innovative technologies. As the previous Learning and Development Manager at Academy Sports + Outdoors, she led strategic initiatives that improved employee engagement, introduced AI-driven training solutions, and streamlined workflows. With over a decade of experience in instructional design, content development, and leadership training, Amy has played a pivotal role in mentoring teams, developing high-impact corporate learning programs, and collaborating with C-suite executives. Her expertise spans leadership development, compliance training, and corporate education, reflecting a deep commitment to fostering growth and innovation within organizations.
